Chita Rivera es una actriz ganadora del Premio Tony que se consagró con su interpretación de «Anita» en el musical West Side Story. Chita Rivera es también la única hispana en haber sido galardonada por The Kennedy Center. Ha sido una destacada defensora de las artes y el fomento de la educación cultural hispana. El año pasado fue nombrada Gran Mariscal del Desfile Nacional Puertorriqueño de la Ciudad de Nueva York

She is a Tony Award-winning actress who shot to fame after being cast as Anita in 1957’s West Side Story. Rivera is also the only Hispanic to have ever been honored by the Kennedy Center. She is an outspoken advocate for the arts and the promotion of Hispanic cultural education. This past year she was the Grand Marshall of the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City.
